Sunday 27th July
All Scouts have arrived safely and set up camp themselves. After a good nights sleep they are all now busy preparing their fires and cooking their breakfasts.
Monday 28th July
Camp is surprisingly well established now, with the different patrols functioning well. A minor mishap occured today when a coup tried to seize Simon's teddy bear, Mr Cuddles, and hold him for ransom. With the help of sheer cub numbers though, the plan backfired spectacularly, but the scouts will rise again... Right now they're off to Tesco to spend their fiver for the Ready Steady Cook challenge, although something tells me Ainsley Harriot won't be quite as pleased with the results.
Tuesday 29th July
Showing typical teenage skills, the scouts managed to sleep through the deafening thunderstorm, only realising the next morning. They went off to Dover castle today to see the tunnels that have been used throughout the centuries. After checking they hadn't left one burrowing their way out, they went back to camp, where all are having a blast.
Wenesday
After clearing away after a late breakfast we set off to Dover Harbour and went sailing, which everyone did really well. We then topped this off with a BBQ on the beach.
Thursday
We went to Howletts Zoo and spent time watching the Gorillas. Hot and weary we returned for a water fight before supper.
Friday
We all had a lovely lie in, had 4 future scouts from cubs come and join us and we have set about enjoying camp.
