*** CAMP UPDATE ***

Sunday
The Cubs all arrived safely and everyone is happy. We all played a wide game before sitting round the campfire before bed.

Monday
Today was all about water (and not the rain). After cooking our own lubch on the fire we went "Water Waltzing" (see photo - like giant hamster balls on water). Everyone had great fun. Later we went pond dipping.

Tuesday
This morning we went toboggoning ...... Great fun and very fast.

After lunch we went on the rifle range where the cubs displayed some very impressive marksmanship.
We played some wide games after dinner and then it was off to bed as we have a really busy day tomorrow.

Wednesday
It was off to the secret nuclear bunker today. It was amazing but I'm afraid we can't tell you about it. When we got out we had a picnic lunch and then went onto swimming with infatables. After this we had a KFC and then a couple of games of laser guns. Everyone had a great day.

Thursday
This morning it was time for demolition derby which is a bit like gladiators in a bouncy castle. Four cubs stand on pillars and swing a big ball at each other trying to knock them off.

This afternoon is time for all the budding Robin Hoods to show what they can do as we're off to crossbows and giant pushball tournament.

Dear Parents,

Below is a useful check list of items for camp. It is a good idea to let your child pack their own bag once you have laid out the items together so they know what is in it. Try to pack each days clothes in a separate plastic bag, then if they happen to put something wet in the bag everything else doesn’t get wet. Have a separate bag for jumper and long trousers. Please feel free to add to the list if necessary. Even though we are going in summer, the evenings can get cold. Any questions don’t hesitate to ring me.

Please Do Not Visit Site Unless Prior Arrangement Has Been Made as this can often upset a child who has been fine.

Please do not ask parents on camp to keep you informed on your child, it is unfair on them and they may inadvertently give out a negative message through misinterpreting how a cub handles life on camp. Call me if concerned.

I will always contact a parent if a serious problem arose or if a cub continued to be unhappy.

All Parents on camp have been Police Checked

My Mobile is 07050 163379 (I will check for messages most nights)
