Meet at the FVH at 6pm
FRIDAY
Well not bad, only had one Scout & one Leader fall in so far!
A new record.Sean managed to set the record by falling in
within 90 seconds of arriving. To make him feel better, Linda fell in
at the same spot a bit later. As they were still in Gosport Marina it was
possible to tumble-dry their clothes.
SATURDAY
Setting sail for Cowes this morning with a nice Force 3-4 wind.
With the wind gusting to Force 6 it was a lively sail to Cowes.
The weather has been fantastic. The group had lunch outside the Folly Inn
& have now returned back to Cowes, mainly to be able to have their fish &
chip supper later! All the Scouts are really enjoying the trip, & have been
out in the inflatables using outboard motors.
Tonight they are staying in Cowes Marina & plan to sail back in the
morning
SUNDAY
Both boats have returned to their moorings. With the wind gusting to Force 8, & at times 9,
it was an exciting sail back. After lunch the Scouts set about tidying up & cleaning
the boats.
Thank you to Sandra & Linda for all their hard work in planning this trip.
A Special thank you to the two skippers Ian and Robyn, without their energy and drive ( not to mention their boats!)
the whole weekend wouldn't have happened at all.
