Friday 7th November
All the Scouts have arrived safely at the boat and are settling in well to their new luxurious 37 foot yacht, equipped with central heating!
The girls (surprise, surprise) were the last to go to sleep, with everyone very excited about the weekend ahead.
Saturday 8th November

After a good nights sleep everyone woke up and had a full english breakfast. The skipper listened into the 7.30 weather forecast and has decided to await the updated 10.30 forecast before planning their adventure. The beauty of the Hamble is there is always somewhere to go even if the weather isn't so kind.
Today the forecast is possible Force 8 gusting 9!, so the decision was wisely made not to sail for the IOW. The morning they spent learning Seaman ship skills, then after lunch as the winds had died a little they went for a lively sail in Southampton waters, which was enjoyed by all.
Later they inflated the dingy and learnt a new skill of how to row in a straight line, not mastered by all!!
Tonight they are off in search of a firework display before invading some poor unsuspecting eatery, with a late night wide game to finish off.
